Original Cat Plush Pattern by professoroak Original Cat Plush Pattern by professoroak
I'm not sure where to file this, except in the textiles - plushies section - since that's where the plushie that I made from this is located. Anywhoo, here's the pattern of my original cat plush. A really basic tutorial can be found at my main site's new section or right here (graphic intense): [link]

My main rules about this is thus (updated when needed - feel free to ask):

1) Don't claim the pattern to be yours.
2) The pattern is free for personal use only. Making the plush for your self or occasional gift for a friend is okay. If you want to make the plush to sell/make a profit, please contact me first.
3) If you post pictures of the plush you made, I would like a link back so that others can find it.
4) Let me know if/when you post pictures of the plush(ies) you make with this pattern.

I'm planning on making three of these for my two nieces and nephew who will be visiting for Christmas and I'm quite excited to start. For the finished  version, did you use a sewing machine or did you sew it by hand? And for the pattern, do any of the pieces need to be resized or can it just be printed and cut out?

I'd love to see the finished plushies and how they reacted.

All stitching was done by hand, though if you plan on making pretty big sized pieces, then the sewing machine might help. No resizing is needed unless you plan on making larger/smaller plushies.

I've made a few plushies with this pattern (four cats, one wolf, one pokemon), but I sadly only have photos of my most recent one. My family loves the cat plushies I make for them based on their own pets using your pattern!
This is the most recent one I finished last month foreveranonymousfa.deviantart.… Sorry I butchered your pattern, but it made a great Christmas present!

I like the pattern, but the head is kind of confusing. It really is a tough nut to crack! ^^;

Not sure what's so confusing about the head...  Maybe (for me) it's plainly obvious... the darts align up with the darts, the nose aligns up with the nose and the ear pieces go in between the front of head and back of head pieces.  Which probably doesn't make much sense what-so-ever.

Hey ^^
I'm trying to use this pattern to make a plush of one of my characters, but I'm really stuck on the head, I can't figure out where or the head I should sew it, I checked the tutorial and that really didn't help with the problem. I don't know, maybe I'm just overthinking it. ^^;

Back side of the head, near the bottom.  Align the back-of-head seam with the near-the-front of the back body, then use the hidden stitch.  Depending on where you position it, it could look attentive or asleep (head between the front legs).
